Elitebook 1040 G3
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, I am using HP Elitebook 1040 G3 and have two external  monitors to connect. From what I have discovered it is impossible to do so using only a hdmi cable (even using  hdmi matrix). I believe that my notebook also does not support USB-C display sharing. My question is how my goal can be achieved?

From its manual (page 2)

        http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04950804.pdf

it has following ports

  • Headphone/Microphone Combo
  • HDMI 1.4
  • Docking connector
  • Multi-Pin AC port (4.5 mm)
  • (1) USB-C 3.0 charging port
  • (2) USB 3.0 charging portsKeyboard

I don't think the USB-C port supports video out. Please use page #5 of the following document to get a right docking station
