Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

We have 2 of these laptops at our school which don't always connect to data projectors in the classroom.

The VGA cable is always connected before they turn on their laptops, sometimes it picks up the projector as they boot up, others not at all. The user will log into the laptop, but when they try to connect (Windows + P) it says that there is no projector present.

They then reboot multiple times, between 2 to 4 times, and then it usually finds the projector.

I've updated driver for the display, both from the HP site and the Intel site. I've also updated the chipset, still no luck.

Has anyone else come across this?

Thanks

Just thought I would reply to my own old post 🙂 Found that they were using a generic display port to VGA adaptor. Purchased an HP one and tested, have not had any issues since!
