Elitebook 840 G6

Hi everyone,

I'm thinking about to purchase a Dell 4021QW 40 inch 5k-Monitor to run with a HP Elitebook 840 G6 and a HP G2 120W Docking-Station. I want to connect the Monitor via Thunderbolt, but I'm not completely sure if this hardwares set-up is compatible to 5k. As I see in the specifications, the notebook allows only 4k, but with two monitors. With the USB-C Universal dock from HP it seems to be able to run 5k, but with the use of two display ports. The specifications of the G2 Docking station seems to allow 5k, so why shouldn't it be possible with my setup? Just want to be sure before ordering the monitor. Maybe someone can confirm?

Greetings

Fabian
