My cat walked across my keyboard and now the touchpad is turned off, cursor frozen. When the laptop turns on there is a temporary logo showing a touchpad with a forefinger on it and a red slash through it.
I am am using Windows 10.
i tried removing the battery, I tried the function keys, I tried going into controls.

Hi,
Try enabling touchpad from device manager.
Follow first direction (3 steps) in this to ENABLE touchpad -

You may need external mouse temporarily to do the steps.
