Elitebook x360 1030 G3
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, my father performed (or rather, I performed for him before Covid-19 while visiting) a clean installation of Windows 10 (installer downloaded from Microsoft) on his Elitebook x360 1030 G3.   All Windows and HP updates have been performed.

Following the clean Windows installation, the screen will not rotate and the keyboard and track pad remain on when you fold it into a tablet.   I have tried all of the tricks that I could find for both in this community.

Display Issue:

1) Will not rotate in tablet mode

2) Rotation lock is grayed out and I tried the HP-recommended steps in this community to enable it, with no luck

3) The touchscreen does work with both his finger and HP Pen, so that part seems fine

4) In Device Manager, under "Monitors", he sees Generic PnP Monitor

Keyboard / Track pad Issue:

1) Does not lock when you fold the laptop into a tablet

2) When I go to the Keyboard control panel, there is no option to enable keyboard lock

3) In Device Manager, under "Keyboards", he sees 5 keyboards listed (HID Keyboard device - listed 4 times; and Standard 101/102 Key or Microsoft Natural Keyboard for HP Hotkey Support - listed once)

Given that Device Manager is showing generic hardware for the display and keyboard, are there specific HP hardware drivers that need to be installed?  I don't see any on the support site nor does HP Support Assistant recommend any.  I had him try doing the "Update Driver..." in Device Manager on each and it tells him that he has the latest driver.   It's like the laptop isn't detecting its own hardware.

Thank you for any help that you can provide.  I've been trying to help him over the phone since I can't visit in our current state of the world.

@hp - I'm hoping you have a suggestion on how to fix this, please.  Thanks!
