End User replacement of Touch Screen display panel for Model HP15-DA0076nR

Hello,

I have a question for anyone here who has had the experience replacing a hp replacement touch screen panel and who would know HP's policy on whether they sell their replacement touch display panels directly to the end user ?  Or do they not sell directly to the end user (customer) a display panel for replacement of a damaged panel and will only accept a in-house display panel replacement that requires shipping the unit to the factory repair facility?   If anyone has direct experience in replacing a touch screen display panel I'd like to hear input(s) about it as to its difficulty.  Is it a tedious project and what in your opinion is 

the level difficulty?

I did not actually replace a notebook screen but watching HP man replaced my notebook screen at home during warranty period (my machine has 3 years on-site service).

1. HP sells part (if available) directly to customer from HP PartStore .

2. With the right tool, the HP man worked to around 15 minutes .

For me, it is not hard (with the right tool). I should be able to do SAME task for 20mins

Unfortunately HP does not stock screen (Display) for your machine

You can use part # to search online. Note: parts with prefix "L" are very hard to find because they are new.

Hello BH and thank you for your input and information.  Can you clarify and tell me if HP never has in stock the screen for my computer.  Or do you know if they are just back-ordered on the display panel that we need?
