Hello,

Not sure if this forum is the best place but hoping you can help.

Just over a year since purchase the touchscreen on my laptop cracked at the bottom left hand corner. The cracks are up the whole right hand side of the screen and diagonally across from the right corner to the left hand side.

Looking at what caused it, the hinge has bent on the right hand side and caused the metal of the lid to become displaced, pushing through from the back of the glass screen.

I am struggling to find out whether this can be fixed/replaced and whether it is worth the cost. I would rather not have to buy a new laptop.

Please could people help with whether this is possible and where to investigate from an official HP source if so?

As you have not sent pictures to be able to assess the size of the damage, then it will be necessary to take your equipment to an authorized Hp service center for repair, however, from which country/city are you contacting us?

Thank you for your suggestions. A number of them look like they serve companies and organisations but not individuals.

Do you happen to know if they are able to do individual repairs on personal users' machines?
