HP ENVY x360 Convertible Laptop PC 15-ed1000 (169X0AV)

I have an HP Envy x360 (please let me know if model details are needed), and I've noticed that the right side flap or cover near the hinge is starting to come loose or pop out slightly. It appears to be the plastic/metal trim that sits over or beside the hinge mechanism on the right-hand side.

  • The laptop opens and closes, but I am afraid that the screen will break/pop out.

  • There's no recent drop or impact that I can recall.

  • I'm concerned this might lead to further damage or affect the hinge's stability over time.

Has anyone experienced this issue? Is this typically a cosmetic problem, or could it be a sign of a failing hinge or internal mounting point? What would be ideal cost for repair in Europe ?

Any advice on next steps or temporary fixes would be appreciated. Thanks!
