HP Notebook 15s-fq1017nl

Good morning.
I have an HP 15s-fq1017nl laptop. The video driver has been giving me problems for some time: when I turn on the PC the screen flickers and becomes black intermittently. The moment you uninstall the driver the problem disappears and reoccurs when you turn it on again.
I followed some steps on the Intel website, I updated the driver to the latest one available but the problem persists.

Error: PCI Device Boot Problem\VEN_8086&DEV_8A56&SUBSYS_86C9103C&REV_07\3&11583659&0&10.

Hi:

It sounds to me like Windows update is automatically reinstalling a newer graphics driver that causes the problem.

Uninstall the driver so the graphics works.

Then immediately run the Microsoft Hide Windows update utility that I zipped up and attached below.

It should find the Intel graphics driver trying to install.

Check the box to hide the update.

The utility will run again and report that the problem is 'Fixed.'

Exit out of the utility, restart the PC and you should not be bothered by that update again.
