hp pavilion g6 2176et
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello everyone,

I have an old HP Pavilion G6 2176et laptop.
As you know, this pc uses 2 different GPUs like most laptops. One is Intel HD4000 and the other is AMD Radeon 7670m.
I have no problem when AMD gpu is inactive. However, when I activate the External AMD Radeon GPU from the Device manager, the PC starts to freeze. Then I get a blue screen error after a few seconds: DPC Watchdog Violation!
I installed the latest drivers (SP59936.exe) through the HP site. But, Windows Update updates automatically.
Still, the problem has not been solved.
For now, the only solution is to start the PC in safe mode and disable AMD Gpu.
I think there is a serious problem with chipset, I don't think of any other option. Apart from that, does anyone have a different idea or solution proposal?

PS: I couldn't see an option to upload the dump file. So I uploaded the minidump file to my own Google Drive account. I hope it is not forbidden. Here you are, minidump.rar

@gokhan4851 Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that you are getting bluescreen while connecting external graphics.

Do not worry. I will try to fix the issue.

This error seems to be fairly common on microsoft's help site. Some mention problematic drivers with plug and play and/or wireless devices (wifi broadband, gamepads), also ssd drives, graphics drivers etc, even if up to date.

Try disconnecting usb devices or temporarily disabling them one at a time, or if you suspect graphics issues, I believe device manager's properties>driver tab may allow you to roll back to a previous driver to test. Two tools here that might take you to the driver that is the cause.

Official websites relating to your hardware, or your computer vendors website offering drivers relating to your specific system model, may offer more compatible drivers than windows update, but if windows itself is the problem in compatibility in which only an microsoft system update can help, removing the problematic device for now may be the last option. Make sure you have all the latest drivers for your motherboard from it's official website, updated for your version of windows.

Please update the windows update.

Windows Updates -

1) In the search box, type, and open Windows Updates.

2) Check for updates.

3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.
