Product: Example: HP Chromebook x360
Operating System: Chrome OS

I bought a portable external DVD player to watch movies on my laptop. It connects, but I'm unable to watch it. An error generates stating "This file type is not supported." Do I need to install some type app or unlock something in my laptop settings to view movies? Or does HP have a compatible DVD player that I can purchase?

Hi:

 

You probably need to install the VLC player for Chrome.
