I installed the new Bios update 1.10 and most of the laptops are fine but couple of the laptops are starting to flicker again. @freund69 I am not sure what update you are talking about, is the docking station firmware?

Thanks

If you are using Win7 try this video driver (version 4463) with BIOS 1.10.

We do not have any Win10 machine in our environment yet but there is a new release of Win10 display driver give that a try if you guys have Win10.

I have a setup with the 840 G3, slim dock 2.30, bios 1.10, and display Intel 520 version 4463. My laptop ususally flakes out every day but since the video driver update from 4453 to 4463 it's been fine. Almost a week now, I'm still not really convince since earlier in the year with the bios and firmware update it fixed me for a bit then issue returned. but just wanted to throw out my setup and you guys can try see if it works.

I am still working with HP Support under a case #.  We have applied all of the suggested drivers, which does not fix the issues.  We have stopped deploying G3's until we get a fix from HP.  I will keep everyone posted.

@Go_Bucks - did HP support ask you to image one of your G3 with the HP image to verify that issue exist. Do you use third party tool to image your G3? i.e. Symantec, LanDesk, SCCM etc.....

We use Windows 7-64 Enterprise and Symantec for imaging, but we have also tested with Win 10 and it does the same thing.  Last I heard from HP tech was it might be related to certain serial numbers manufactured prior to the end of July and it might involve some type of sheilding that would need to be installed in the field.  They have bumped the case up to another level of support.

I've also been encountering this issue. but with only a single monitor via the slimdock.

Event viewer showed that CPU cores were being limited seemingly at random

"The speed of processor 2 in group 0 is being limited by system firmware. The processor has been in this reduced performance state for 71 seconds since the last report."

I installed latest bios, and the last slimdock firmware and also upgraded graphics drivers just to be sure. As with others it ran fine then after 2-3 days the issues reoccurred.

Same here with a 1040G2. It is driving me mad.

Come on HP.

Mine does have a wireless mouse and keyboard plus his phone is close by.  The computer SHOULD work like its supposed without giving up a wireless mouse and keyboard and moving the phone away...

Hi all, we had this issue in our organisation.  The issue only occured when we had cellular reception (when a SIM was inserted in the WWAN module).

From the sounds of it others can replicate it with a Mobile phone near the device, cellular interference.

HP identified that there wasn't appropriate shielding on the new Skylake processor, they came today and applied the shielding and so far no screen flickering issue.

See photos of before and after, sorry for the quality.
