I've tried testing this, but no joy so far.
I believe should be able to reliably trigger this by the simple expedient of keeping my phone directly next to an affected unit and calling/texting it or simply waiting for it to poll the signal tower. Theres no Sim installed in this machine.

Hi Aracimia,
We couldn't replicate it with an external phone, but with the internal 4g SIM it was easy to reproduce.
Your model may already have the MB that has the shielding applied?

We've had no issues since HP applied the shielding last Friday as per my post here:
We are now getting on site techs to attend each of our hospitals to apply the fix, 68 in total.
Fun for HP 🙂

O.k so I hadn't had much chance to look at this till today. But I managed to recreate this on an undocked G3. As is my wont I had my mobile propped up on the laptop itself as I was busying copying text from an error message I'd taken a snapshot of and the screen started flickering. Removed my phone and it stopped.
As a test I returned the phone to it's original position and for the next hour or so I got extremely sporadic brief cut outs on the screen.
Very suprised at this point. Checked the original laptops location, found the user kept a blackberry and an iphone almost right on top of the laptop
Again, I'm cautious of claiming that as the cause, but I'll run a few more tests and see if I can reliably recreate it

G3 has been solid after installation of the shield. We are 100% confident in the fix. Working with HP Level 2 to schedule fix on 44 units we have. Everything we purchased, after the end of July, seems to already have the shield installed.

I spoke to Support and they said they also ordered new motherboards for the 3 cases I reported (I have many more but just wanted to start with 3). The motherboards were on backorder, however I told them it was a bit premature to replace the motherboards until we have a chance to determine if the gasket corrects the blinking issue and they agreed. I should have a tech here tomorrow.
