Hello, I have an external monitor and i would like the laptop to display to it at boot if that is even possible.
Apart from opening the laptop and disconnecting the internal display cable, is there another way i could make it display on the external monitor on boot?
All help is appreciated.

I see your problem and I suspect the external monitor will only work if the internal display is disabled.
The is the same situation on many desktop systems when the graphic card has multiple outputs. The only one that shows the bootup screen is the "primary" when more than one monitor is connected.
The only thing I can think of is if the laptop senses that the lid is closed when it is powered on. The laptop would need to be configure to run with the lid closed (most can do this). The external monitor would then be assigned the screen since the lid was closed.
You would have to find the switch that detects the lid closed and bypass the power switch so you can power the laptop up with the lid closed.
1 - open the laptop then close the switch so the laptop thinks the lid is closed
2 - turn on the laptop.
Just guessing.

You can connect an HDMI monitor to port 4 in below picture
See page 7 of user manual
In addition, after windows has started you could cast using Wi-Fi to any smart Wi-Fi type TV or Monitor that has roku or a Wi-Fi adapter.

Eh I could just disconnect the cable for the internal display and have it display everything on the external monitor. I think it should just cycle through every output to see which is connected and enable it that's what happens with desktops anyway but until I get one this is my solution.
Thank you anyway.
