HP ENVY x360 Convertible 15m-bp1xx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My new Samsung C24F392 monitor will not connect to my HP ENVY x360 computer with the HDMI cable supplied with the monitor.  It connects with my older Toshiba laptop.  I am running Windows 10.  Is there some setting that is telling the system that the HDMI port is not available?  I had an old HP monitor connected to the PC with a cable that had a DVI connector on one end and was plugged into the HDMI port on the other end.  This monitor recently quit on me and I purchased the new Samsung monitor.  I have had this PC connected to another monitor through a HDMI cable

What is your HP ENVY x360 Convertible 15m-bp1xx ? For example

           HP ENVY x360 - 15m-bp111dx

Your machine should have same ports as the above machine which shows it has HDMI v1.4 supporting up to 1920×1080 @ 60Hz. You can use direct HDMI to HDMI cable to connect to an external monitor . What is your monitor ?

Regards.
