External display issues

I have 2 issues. May or may not be related. Both happen intermittently. 

1. I have my laptop hooked up to 2 external monitors and they keep flicking on and off. Only a few seconds but very distracting as it keeps minimising the windows I'm working on. I've had the hooked up via 1x hdmi, 1x DP and now 2x DP via a adaptor/splitter.  I've taken it to a computer repair store who reinstalled the drivers for me but it changed nothing. I've also updated all software and checked for updates on the drivers. All up to date. Power supply has also been checked. I've also tried different cables and different monitors.

2. Laptop restarts at random times. It's plugged in so not a power issue. And it doesn't feel hot either.

Running Windows 11 home

Can anyone suggest anything to fix this?

Your machine could be one of the following machines

For example :   OMEN by HP Laptop 16-c0000nc

Your machine should have same ports as the above machine. What is your adapter/splitter ?

My laptop has 1x hdmi,1x mDP, 1x usb-c and 3x usb-a ports.

I'm currently using the following splitter - StarTech.com Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort Multi Monitor Splitter - 2-Port MST Hub - mDP 1.2 to 2X DP MST Hub
