spectre x360 14t-ea200
Microsoft Windows 11

I am considering replacing my current Spectre X360 13 with a Spectre X360 14t-ea200. I don't need the 1000-nit privacy screen, so that leaves me with two screen options.

For either option, I need to know that maximum resolution it will support on an external monitor.

I've been told by an HP rep that the maximum resolution supported on an external monitor is the same as on the laptop screen but I'm not sure I asked the question in a way that caused her to understand it. I'm most interested in the 3000 x 2000 which is fine for a laptop screen. But I don't know of any external monitor with that native resolution. I plan to get a larger external monitor and would like to have 4K resolution. but I don't want to buy the computer and monitor and then find out they don't give me what I need.

If I may break a rule and add on a quick question, I understand the OLED monitor is glossy screen. Is the 1920 x 1280 glossy or matte?

Thanks.

Dale

It should have following ports

  • 2 Thunderbolt™ 4 with USB4™ Type-C® 40Gbps signaling rate (USB Power Delivery, DisplayPort™ 1.4, HP Sleep and Charge);
  • 1 SuperSpeed USB Type-A 10Gbps signaling rate (HP Sleep and Charge);
  • 1 headphone/microphone combo

For external monitors, it supports up to DisplayPort 1.4 resolution that means 7680 x 4320 / 60 Hz / 10 Bit Chroma / HDR and 3840 x 2160 / 120 Hz / 10 Bit Chroma / HDR including machines with lower internal screen

You can check the following options for screen. Normally with touchscreen, it is glossy

Regards.

I'm not seeing the kudos thumb up button, so I'll say thanks for providing the information. It's what I needed.
