HP ENVY 17-cg0511sa
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am planning to buy HP ENVY 17-cg0511sa laptop.

It comes with NVIDIA® GeForce® MX330 integrated graphics card.

What is the max resolution it supports for an external monitor?

Its specs

     https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06703775

It has

  • 1 SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 10Gbps signaling rate (USB Power Delivery, DisplayPort™ 1.4, HP Sleep and Charge port
  • 1 HDMI 2.0 port

You can use 4K monitor at 60Hz to connect to HDMI or USB-C port or more when using a compatible dock such as USB-C Gen 5 docking station.

Note: Since your machine uses 65 W Smart AC power adapter, you should be able to use single cable option with USB-C Gen 5 dock if you wish.

Regards.
