I have a HP Chromebook (14a-na0023cl). I'd like to add an external monitor. The "Getting to know your computer" guide says my Chromebook's USB Type-C power connector and port connects a display device that has a USB Type-C connector, providing DisplayPort™ output. If I buy a new display/monitor that has a dedicated DisplayPort™ port, and connect to my Chromebook using a USB C to DisplayPort adapter cable, is it safe to assume that will work?
But I already have an old monitor with HDMI output. If I buy a USB C to HDMI adapter cable, will my Chromebook recognize and work with my HDMI monitor? I can't find anything in HP documents that says it will or will not work. I'd rather buy a USB C to HDMI adapter cable than spend the money for a brand new display.
Thanks.
