Welcome to HP Forums,
This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips,
Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂
I see that external monitor is not detecting when connected to the HP Spectre X360 notebook,
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
- Have you made any hardware/software changes?
- Have you tried any troubleshooting steps?
- When was the last time it worked fine?
While you respond to that, I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:
Use the HP USB Dock software to configure the display of a monitor attached to the dock:
1. Click the HP USB Dock icon in the taskbar.
2. To set the external monitor as an extension of the primary monitor, click Extend. – or – To set the external monitor as a copy of the primary monitor, click Mirror. – or – To set the external monitor to be the only display, click Notebook monitor off. – or – To set the external monitor to be the primary display, click Set as the main monitor
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

In answer to your questions
1. Brand new equipment so other than windows update and HP driver update no
2. Yes updated drivers from HP
3. It has never worked, brand new
I have no HP Hub application, where do you get that from? Shouldnt it install automatically with the Hp drivers?
