Hi. My laptop monitor had stated to flicker sometimes, but not continuously. Right now it’s not flickering.  I connected an external monitor and am not sure whether to select mirroring or only use the external monitor. If I select the mirroring option, will the external monitor mirror the laptop’s flickering? Should I instead select the option to only recognize the second monitor? I’d like to try to have both monitors visible, but I’m concerned that if the external monitor does flicker in concert with the laptop screen, I won’t be able to see the external screen to then change the setting. Thanks in advance for your help.

No, I would select option to use external display when close the lid. All my notebooks use external monitors, mice and keyboards.

Regards.
