Whenever I try to play any game on my laptop and its unplugged. The frame rate is capped to 60fps. When I plug the battery in it goes upto the capped amount (I set it as 120fps) Now I know that I've got a 60 hz screen and wont notice the difference and that may be true but supposingly if I entered an area which is resource demanding my fps should fall from 120-90 so that I wont notice the difference. However its stuck at 60fps even when I uncapped it in-game to 120fps or unlimited fps option (minecraft and GTA 5). I uncapped the fps in-game and in NVIDIA Control panel I have the fps capped to 120fps. Note: my power plan setting is set-up like that because when I set it at 100% my laptop heats up alot and thermal throttling starts happening. I set it from 5-95% since the temps dont go that high and I get the same performance when plugged-in and unplugged. The 60fps cap when unplugged still happens (My laptop specs does not support battery boost or any nvidia option other than optimization). Some ppl might say that my specs fall below minimum specs list for gta 5 but my laptop wouldnt lag at 720p low. Also if it still is a problem that my specs are below minimum for gta then atleast I can run minecraft but its capped to 60fps when unplugged. Please help me fix this.
Ill mention the specifications of my laptop (HP Pavilion 14ce3007ne
