I wanted to add a facial recognition for signing into the windows but the feature is saying that this option is currently unavailable. Please help to add my face recognition and to make this option available.

Thankyou

Hi @kaurjasjot02,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

I completely understand how  it must feel when a feature like facial recognition isn’t available when you’re trying to set it up.

Could you please share the exact HP laptop or desktop model you’re using, along with the version of Windows installed?

Here are a few  steps you can try:

Check Windows Hello compatibility: Not all HP devices support facial recognition. You can confirm this by checking your device specifications on HP’s support website https://support.hp.com/ .

Update drivers: Go to Device Manager and ensure that the “Biometric devices” section shows your camera. If it’s missing, update or reinstall the drivers from HP Support Assistant.

Run Windows Update: Sometimes missing updates prevent Windows Hello from working properly.

Check camera functionality: Open the Camera app to confirm your webcam is working. If the camera isn’t detected, facial recognition won’t be available.

I hope this helps.

I'm an HP Employee.
