Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I regularly fail the Mouse/Touchpad Drag and Drop test on the right side.

Now I'll also intermittently find that my entire system locks up randomly.

I believe they're related, especially since it never happens with a mouse.

How do I go about getting my touchpad repaired if my warrantee is expired?

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,

This issue could occur if the BIOS or Touchpad drivers are not updated.

Let's go through a few steps to troubleshoot this issue.

And here's the step by step guide for you in the link: Using the TouchPad or ClickPad (Windows 10)

You may also follow the steps in the link to check if the issue is with the mouse or keyboard: Notebook Keyboard Troubleshooting (Windows 10,

Still, the issue persists in running the hardware diagnostics.
