Fingerprint sign-in option isn't available

Product - HP ENVY 13-aq0000na Full-HD Touchscreen

The fingerprint sign-in option is shown as not available with the Windows Hello although I have the reader which worked perfectly well when I bought my laptop, but the option stopped working after one of the updates.

@VeroBash Here's a list of steps to resolve the issue:

Step one:
Follow the below steps:

• Update the BIOS
• Enable biometric support
• Check for Windows support
• Clean the fingerprint reader
• Update the device driver
• Update the fingerprint reader software
• Find new device drivers if you changed operating systems
