Has anyone else had these issues?  I haven't found any reference to them anywhere.

  • Both physical and touch keyboards refuse to auto-capitalise the first letter of a sentence (enabled in settings)
  • Auto-correct is also enabled but not working.
  • Sleeping tabs in Edge constantly pop up to announce they're doing a good job of saving resources
  • taskbar (or whatever it's called below tabs) randomly highlights various command tips
  • HP wizard reported no issues
  • Windows update done with no additional optional updates

Spectre was originally on W10 but updated to W11 by previous owner.

Any suggestions gratefully received 🤔

 

Update: connecting a mouse has resolved the screen tip and sleeping tab issues. Still looking for a solution to first letter capitalisation and auto-correct (in Facebook, Word, mail, everywhere).
