HP Envy 360 Hinge and screen separation. Can't move screen open or closed, afraid of total failure. I see this is a common problem, what is the current fix and is HP covering the cost of repairs? Just 4 months out of warranty!

No. I chose not to spend $300.00 plus at an HP Service Center to have it fixed. I used Epoxy and clamps to secure the hinge and surrounding plastic bezel. The screen can not be closed or fully opened as intended, has to remain at 90 degrees unfortunately. I did join a class action lawsuit though that seeks to hold HP accountable..

clearly there is a design flaw that they need to fix. Sounds like I shouldn’t waist my time calling customer service.

I have this same issue on a 2-yr old HP Envy 360. I cannot find the solution to this problem. I am not in the USA and cannot send the laptop back to the US for repair. I would like to know what the solution is? Does replacing the screen fix the problem? Replace the hinge and the screen?
