Hp envy 13” amd ryzen 5 3500u / vega 8 graphics

Hi , I bough this brand new laptop , And I said to try some games , and i downloaded GTA V , Once i plug the power in it plays smooth at 35 fps with good graphics , after 20 seconds it has a sudden drop to 15 fps and it stays like that all the time afterwards , but once i unplug it again I get the same boost for 20 seconds even on battery , and after 20 seconds it drops again , I have set it into performance , this and that, still havent managed to make it play smooth like those 20 seconds , can someone here explain to me why does that happen & can I fix this issue ? thanks

@Rado1995,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I reviewed your post and I understand that FPS drops when you play games.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I checked the specifications of your computer and see that the computer what you have is not a gaming laptop and usually gaming requires more resource (Graphics) and power.

Having said that, I recommend you update the BIOS and the graphics driver on your computer from the below link and check if it helps.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
