I don't really understand what is wrong with this laptop.
I use it to play dota 2 and metro 2033 and both games are unplayable if i unplugged the charger.
I suggest it was due to the power plan being set on balance and i can't really seem to find any other option to change it. I found a similar problem and downloaded something that says HP Recommended Power Plan but it didn't change anything. My game is literally stuck on 10fps and would rise only for a quick second before it drops down to 10 again.

This sounds very much like a battery issue -- as it appears the battery is not providing enough power to play the game at the full frame rate.
