Hello, 

The g5 is coonected via a ubs-c to USB A converter on my notebook 470 g7. 

It is shown in the device manager and keyboard and mouse is working. 
Unfortunately it does not detect any external monitors. Hdmi or display port. 

Strange is on the German website the notebook 470 g7 is shown compatible but on the u

That is the problem and from the following specs

The USB-C port on your machine may not carry video out at all. No available manual to confirm this

Hello and thank you! 

 

The g470 g7 does not have usb- c at all. 

By mistake I selected the g5 since I found it suggested on the hp site as docking station. 

 

I am afraid using the USB-c to USB-A converter does not provide video out.
