Hello! Lately I have been updating my drivers and I could say that I ran into one issue. I was looking for GPU drivers for my HP ProBook 455 G5 Laptop, but I came a cross to 2 different options. One, I was I able to download drivers from AMD website, AMD website had 6 months old driver for my GPU/APU, but second option was from HP website, but it had 12+ months old driver. Am I alright, if i choose to download from AMD website? I think I tried once to download driver from the AMD website long time ago, but windows was rolling back to old HP published driver.

Hi:
if your notebook does not have a dual AMD switchable graphics option, you should be able to use the latest driver from AMD.
That's what I use on my HP notebook and the same thing happens...Windows update installs an older driver.
So, what you can do to get around that problem is to install the latest driver from AMD.
Then immediately run the Microsoft Hide Windows Update utility that I zipped up and attached below.
It will search for and find any uninstalled updates and it should find the AMD graphics driver update that is rolling back the latest AMD driver.
Check the box to hide the update.
The utility will run again and report the problem is 'fixed.'
Now you should not be bothered by that update again.
If you update the graphics driver in the future, and Windows Update rolls back the driver, then just repeat the same process.
