Hi @Zxtsou

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand you're experiencing an issue with your HP device, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I'm here to help you today.

If your HP Victus 12 with the RTX 3050 GPU is showing a "disconnected" message, it could indicate a problem with the GPU itself, drivers, or hardware connections. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:

Step 1: Restart Your Laptop

  • Simple Restart: Sometimes, a quick restart can resolve temporary issues.

Step 2: Check Device Manager

Open Device Manager:

  • Right-click the Start button and select Device Manager.

Check for GPU Issues:

  • Expand the Display adapters section and see if the RTX 3050 is listed. If there’s a yellow triangle next to it, there might be a driver issue.

Reinstall Drivers:

  • Right-click the RTX 3050 and select Uninstall device. Make sure to check the box that says "Delete the driver software for this device" if available.
  • After uninstalling, restart your laptop. Windows should automatically reinstall the drivers.

Step 3: Update Graphics Drivers

  • NVIDIA GeForce Experience: If you have GeForce Experience installed, open it and check for driver updates.
  • Manual Update: You can also go to the NVIDIA website and manually download the latest drivers for your RTX 3050.
  • You may also check HP website , click here

Step 4: Check for Windows Updates

  • Ensure your Windows operating system is fully updated:
    • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for updates.

Step 5: Perform a Power Cycle

  1. Shut Down: Turn off your laptop completely.
  2. Hold Power Button: Press and hold the power button for about 15-20 seconds to discharge any residual power.

Step 6: Check BIOS Settings

  • Restart your laptop and press Esc repeatedly until the Startup Menu appears, then press F10 to enter BIOS.

Check for GPU Options: Look for any settings related to graphics or display and ensure that the discrete GPU is enabled.

Save and Exit: If you make any changes, save them before exiting.

Step 7: Test in Safe Mode

  • Boot your laptop into Safe Mode to see if the GPU works there. If it does, this may indicate a software issue.

I hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Please click “Accepted Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.
