hp envy x360 (2020)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

i recently bought hp envy x 360 15m-ee0023dx which is configured with 8gb ram and ryzen 7 4700u with 2gb integrated radeon graphics(w.r.t specs)

as of the specs every thing is good . but why i can only see 512mb dedicated gpu memory insted of 2 gb ? and i have no idea what is shared gpu memory which shows 3.7 gb.

is this is same with all ryzen 7 hp laptops with  ram 8 gb and 2 gb integrated graphics?

Welcome to HP Community

I have gone through your Post and would like to help

The amount of memory the system dedicated and shares with the video card is controlled at a HARDWARE/FIRMWARE level, and on some computers these settings can be changed in BIOS

Those settings cannot be changed for HP Consumer Notebooks. HP Consumer Pc’s uses a customized BIOS setting (Tattooed BIOS) of which some features including overclocking and increasing the VRAM are locked.

This is done in the best interest of safeguarding the PC for the optimal performance and not to cause any extensive component failure.

To conclude, the VRAM on your PC is already shared with a specific value and its locked and cannot be changed.

Thank you
