HP EliteBook 840 14 inch G9 Notebook PC IDS Base Model

In the past couple weeks, I have had 4 G9s start having ghost touch issues on the screen. The touch does not appear to be in the same place on the screen on all 4 laptops. The users have an extremely difficult time even logging into their device because the mouse will disappear and it will click away from any typing cursor. The only fix we have found is to disable the touchscreen. But it is odd that is is all happening at the same time. There were no driver updates. Could a Windows update have caused this, and has anyone else experienced this recently?
