Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My camera was advertised as HD when I bought the laptop two months ago however every time I use it the picture is really grainy and difficult to see. I use it in well lit rooms so lighting is definitely not the problem. The device says that I am using HP Truevision HD camera but when I click on the settings it says that the maximum amount of megapixels available are 0.9??? Is this normal or is something wrong with my laptop? Has anyone else had the same issue?

Main rule for all cameras is very simple LIGHT. Please give more light to object, you will get better images. The specs of your machine is

It has  HP TrueVision HD Camera that means you only get 1,280 x 720 pixels max (HD standard). Your machine has 1366 x 768 screen. Looks like 0.9x is the ratio of camera resolution over screen resolution (720 / 786 = 0.93)
