Bought a brand new HP Spectre last week, arrived fine and all seems to be working except the screen display. It has a grainy quality to the screen image, sort of like what you get if you install a low quality screen protector on your mobile, and seems to reflect light weirdly causing parts of the screen to be very dark and others to be fine as well (although this part I am less bothered by). The issue is most prominent where the screen is white and doesn't show up as much on black.
I have tried updating the relevant drivers and that made no difference. Have also tried connecting to an external display and that didn't show the same grainyness. At this point, I can't tell if the screen is supposed to be this way due to its touchscreen nature or if there is a genuine problem with it. Any guidance on next steps, or if this is how it is "supposed" to be would be welcomed.
