Hello.
Does anyone know how often HP updates graphic card drivers?
I have EliteBook 8470p with Intel HD4000, last update for iGPU, was on 2018 (5 years ago).
Thanks.

Hi:
See if this works. If not, then you will have to live with the current driver that is installed...
First, create a system restore point so that you can roll back to the current graphics driver you have installed, just in case the updated driver does not work to your expectations.
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4027538/windows-create-a-system-restore-point
Download and save the HD graphics driver 64-bit ZIP file for the model Intel HD graphics adapter
Intel® Graphics Driver for Windows* [15.33]
Unzip the graphics driver file to its folder. Do not do anything with the files in the folder.
To unzip the file, right click on the graphics driver zip file you downloaded, and select Extract All.
Go to the device manager, click to expand the Display Adapters device manager category
Click on the Intel HD graphics adapter listed there.
Click on the driver tab. Click on Update Driver.
Select the Browse my computer for driver software option, and then at the bottom of that window, select the Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.
Click on Have Disk and browse to the unzipped graphics driver folder>Graphics>igdlh64 (setup information file), click Next, and the driver should install.
Be patient, as it can take a few minutes for the driver to completely install.
When the installation is finished, restart the PC.
To update the Intel HDMI audio driver to the latest version, go to the device manager, click to expand the Sound, video and game controllers device manager category.
Click on the Intel HD audio device listed there. Click on the driver tab. Click on Update driver.
Select the Browse my computer for driver software option and browse to the unzipped Intel graphics driver main folder.
Make sure the Include subfolders box is checked, and the driver will install.
Then restart the PC.

Hi:
Normally, HP keeps the drivers updated for their business class PC's updated for 5 years, so what you are seeing is just about right, since your notebook was released to market in 2013 or thereabouts.
Intel ended driver support for the HD 4000 graphics adapter in October of 2020.
Intel® Graphics Driver for Windows* [15.33]
I don't know if you can still manually install the Intel driver like you used to be able to.
If you want to try that let me know and I will give you the procedure, but you need to let me know what operating system you are running on your notebook.

Hi there.
I never got 15.33 ... driver on my system. After reinstalling Windows, get 10. ... dated to 2015. Downloading from HP website gives me newer driver dated 2018, driver version 10.18.10.5059. When I tried to install 15.33, I got error '“The Driver Being Installed Is Not Validated for This Computer. Please obtain the appropriate driver from the computer manufacturer'.
