My HP 15g br011tx has an AMD Radeon 520 switchable graphics card (as per online sources) but after updating the drivers to the latest 19.9.2 version using AMD's auto-detect software, it shows the graphics card as Radeon R5 M330 graphics card. Please, someone, solve the issue.

I suggest you download and run the HP Support Assistant from this Link: https://www8.hp.com/us/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/hpsupport.html?jumpid=va_r602_us/en/any/psg/p...
HPSA will automatically search for all the latest drivers for your Notebook
-
Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.
-
Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.

Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.

Also ensure Windows is up to date.
Select the Start button, and then go to Settings > Update & security > Windows Update , and select Check for updates. If Windows Update says your device is up to date, you have all the updates that are currently available

The rollback driver option wasn't initially available so I updated the drivers to the latest recommended ones which did not solve the problem but also removed the AMD Graphics driver option when I right-click on the desktop. After this, I rolled back the drivers and everything is now back to normal or at least it seems to be so. Thanks for the support. Just one more thing, please tell me how should I update my drivers next time so as to not cause any such problems.

Well some updates might cause problem and there is no easy way to identify which drivers might work or not. Usually Microsoft will fix the corrupted updated after they get the correct updates from the Manufacturers, in your case AMD.
