Hp 15 AF006AX
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I recently updated my windows and after the update my Graphics driver has started giving me problems , i tried to install the latest drivers from the gpu manufacturer but it didn't worked out for me as hp devices work with only drivers provided by hp.My device specs are as follows

cpu:- Amd A8-7410 with R5 graphics

gpu:- Radeon M330 2GB

ram:- 4GB

i installed the update with microsoft windows update assistant and it checked the compatability of my device and was able to install the update successfully. I took a dig at the amd forum and realised the other system is also having same problem but they are already have latest driver i.e. 19.5.2 from amd . But on my system i cannot install the same driver as it malfunctions with my gpu and internal chipset (the other system are also having same specs but how they can run the latest drivers and i am stuck on 17.12.1 ).I tried installing latet drivers but micro freeze is the issue which dowsn't let the drivers work properly ,So it will be really nice if HP could provide a BIOS update that allows user to disable and enable the gpu from BIOS like other vendors do , if Not then provide the latest drivers

@amitsinghr8,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I recommend you download and install the graphics driver from the below link and check if it helps.

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp72001-72500/sp72394.exe

If you continue facing the issue, I recommend you download and install HP support assistant from the below link and it will automatically download and install all the latest drivers available for your computer.

Here is how it is done.

Download link: https://www8.hp.com/in/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/hpsupport.html?jumpid=va_r602_in/en/any/psg/p...

  1. Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.

Click Updates in the My notebook pane

  2. Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.

Updates list in HP Support Center

  3. Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.

  4. Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.

  5. Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.

  6. Perform any other update management actions as needed.

    • Postpone an update: Click Remind me, and then select a time preference.

    • Delete an available update: Click the Delete icon  to remove the update from the list and record it in the action log.

    • Review updates status: Click Action log below the list to view installed, postponed, or deleted updates.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

If you wish to show appreciation for my efforts, mark my post as Accept as Solution. Your feedback counts!

Cheers!
