I recently got a new 6910p. I Installed the gpu driversa for it but I couldn't launch the software. But I have the HDD it came with with Win7 starter, but the software does launch on that installation. What's going on?

Are you sure that you have W7 Starter 64 bit?
Because I never heard of a 64-bit version of that operating system.
There is a 64-bit version of W7 Home basic.

If you are 100% sure you have W7 64 bit installed see if this works:
Download and save the driver from the link above, but do not run it.
Download and install the free 7-Zip file utility.
The first file at the top of the page is for 64 bit:
After you install 7-Zip, right click on the graphics driver file you saved.
Select 7-Zip from the list of items on the menu.
Have 7-Zip Extract to: and let it extract the file into its folder name (sp46004).
Once that is done, go to the device manager.
Click to expand the Display adapters device manager category.
Click on the Standard VGA adapter listed there.
If there is no device like that, you may see a device in the device manager labeled as a Video Controller.
Click on that instead.
Click on the driver tab. Click on Update driver.
Select the 'Browse my computer for driver software, and at the bottom of that Window, select the 'Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.'
Click on Have Disk and browse to the driver folder that 7-Zip created>Packages>Drivers>Display>LH6A_INF>CH_84776 (setup information file)>select the ATI Mobility Radeon X2300 graphics adapter from the list and see if the driver installs that way.
If you find out that you have a 32-bit OS, then go to the LH_INF folder instead...that's the 32-bit driver folder.

Do you know what graphics adapter your notebook has?
My 6930p has the AMD x2300 GPU and the driver for that indicates W7 Starter 32 bit is supported by the driver.
However, the Intel graphics driver does not indicate W7 Starter is supported by the driver.
That was a very basic operating system and from what I remember it only allowed for basic graphics functions--for instance, it did not support Windows Aero.

Holy crap, It worked, thank you so much!
By the way, I wasn't saying that I had 64bit windows 7 starter, I was saying I have an hdd with a win7 starter installation and that the driver worked there. Nevertheless, thank you!
