Hi KrazyToad, no, I did not use the HP Recovery Media.  I downloaded the ISO from Microsoft onto a USB drive and installed it from there.

I suggest you reinstall Windows using the Recovery Media since the HP recovery Media will contain all all the drivers and softwares which was originally shipped with the Notebook

 

If you do not have the Recovery Media, you can contact HP Support to order one

 


1) Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/ 
2) Select your product type below.
3) Enter the serial of your device. 
4) Select the country from the drop-down. 
5) Select the chat or get phone number options based on your preferences. 
6) Fill the web-form and proceed further.

Bumping this thread to see if anyone else has a resolution.  Searching these forums, it seems that there have been others who've reported the same issue in separate threads but no one has ever responded if they were able to get this fixed.

 

Can't the HP webcam SW be made available for download?

 

I'm not really keen on paying for a recovery disk, especially if the HP webcam software settings won't fix the issue.
