I have a Hp Victus 16-E0019na and according to the spec sheet the HDMI out should be 2.1 however it will not output a 4k signal at 120hz, it will do 1080p 120hz or 4k 60hz only. I have a 144hz compatible display and this works fine with my PS5. What is the problem here, how can i fix it?
Thanks in advance

Your machine could be one of the following over 120 machines
For example: Victus by HP Laptop 16-e0069nw
Page 2 of the manual says
- HDMI v2.0 + HDCP 2.2 supporting: up to 4096 × 2160 @ 60 Hz (models with GeForce 1650 graphics)
- HDMI v2.1 + HDCP 2.2 supporting: up to 7680 × 4320 @ 60 Hz (models with the following graphics: RTX 3050, RTX 3050Ti, RTX 3060)
What is its GPU ? None of the above options supports 120K external display.
Note: The ROT is resolution goes up, refresh rate will go down and vice versa.
Regards.
