HP Envy
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I just upgraded a number of system components and applications. Prior to the upgrade I had a HDMI monitor in use. Since the upgrades, the HDMI monitor is not available. Using either the Control Panel or Settings display functions it is not present nor findable. Looking at the Device Manager, I don't see it listed; a hardware scan didn't find it, nor does a connect/disconnect have a impact.

Is there a way to reset/reinstall the driver? I had a similar scenario and had to reset the notebook, which I would like to avoid. As a developer, I don't care if it is at the registry manipulation level.

These were the components/applications that were upgraded. One of them was a BIOS upgrade which appears to have been successful since I am using the notebook now. I did retry installing the Intel and NVADIA video drivers, but the NVADIA installation tells me there is no appropriate hardware to install for. Interesting that the "Software and drivers" download page says that is appropriate for my system.

I reset the notebook BIOS and then reinstalled its update. Working fine now.
