HP 14s-fq0000 Laptop PC (1B279AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello

I have a ThinkPad USB-C dock gen2 where i can't get a monitor working using HDMI cable.

I have the same issue when using a HP USB-C-mini dockingstation.

The monitor are working fine when connected to the laptop HDMI connector.

Can I please get som hint on what to do? or do the laptop not support HDMI on USB-C to a docking station?

Kind regards
JPS

What is your HP 14s-fq0000(1B279AV) Laptop PC actually. Anyway, your machine has ports as shown on the following machine

                 HP Laptop 14s-fq0077AU

It ONLY has 1SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 5Gbps signaling rate port which does NOT support Alt mode nor Power Delivery. You can NOT use it to

  • Charge your machine
  • Connect to an external monitor with / without hub/dock/adapter

Regards.

Hello

this model has  a basic USB-C connecter, so it doesn't support video and battery charge from USB-C.
