HP 250 G5
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Dear Sir/ Madam,

I bought this laptop refered above without any software installed, only DOS. I installed Windows 7 ultimate and then I downloaded the drivers that needed for the devices through my previous PC and I burned them in a DVD. After of the "set-up" procedure no fault appeared at the devices in my new laptop.

But when I connected the HDMI wire in the socket nothing happened to my TV which is connected the other edge of the wire.

As well as, I mention that my previous laptop had no problem at this point and it was HP too. It is a Pavilion DV7-2140ev.

I suppose that something wrong is happening with the driver of the Graphic Adapter because at the device list is marked as "Typical VGA Graphic Adapter".

Can you help me , please?

Hi:

You need to install the graphics driver if you are seeing a standard vga adapter.

That is why the HDMI isn't working.

You need to select the correct Intel graphics driver for the processor your notebook has.

Thank you a lot Mr Paul,
Your advice solve my problem instandly.
I wouldn't expected that a latop could have a driver software in a different site than the company's(HP) that had built. The most obvious for is that by giving the serial number and the moden name the HP would have return me all the drivers that needed for my operating systrem.

You're very welcome.

Actually there are two sites to access the support and driver page for your model.

http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-250-g5-notebook-pc/10180321/drivers

http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/readIndex?sp4ts.oid=10180323

I didn't know you didn't know where to find the support pages, or I would have included one of the above links in my reply.
