Hello to all

i got this computer a couple months ago and so far i have liked it a lot. the 4k screen is very nice and i havent had any flickering issues with video playback.

it has come to my attention the HDR option and the HP display control software.

I wanted to see your advice regarding whether to use HDR in a regular basis or not instead of the options that show on the HP display control. When HRD is on, all the options at the HP display control software are grayed out but native (which i believe it makes sense).

Thanks so much

Hello @andresmorago,

It's really up to you though I believe it'll only work on HDR supported video and media.

I heard that HDR is a real game changer but I also understand that it's going to drain your battery a bit faster and so perhaps it's a good idea to only run it when it's charging.

Kind regards,

Eddy

thanks

how is HDR feature different than the profiles listed on the HP display control?

I don't have the latest iteration of the HP Spectre x360 so if you want a better response, you're going to have to list the profiles but HDR is good for entertainment purposes and I'm guessing it's not always necessary and beneficial.

The other profiles, I'm guessing, are aimed at professionals who need colour accuracy and not the huge contrast that's offered with HDR.

And I as mentioned previously, it's probably going to drain your battery a bit faster.

Hope that helps.
