Victus by HP Gaming Laptop 15-fa0000 (680A4AV)

I am extremely frustrated with the pathetic durability of my HP Victus laptop. Right after completing one year, the hinges have started making loud cracking noises while opening and closing. This is unacceptable for a premium device, and it’s clear that this is a manufacturing defect rather than normal wear and tear.

I have handled my laptop with utmost care, yet the hinges are failing. This clearly points to cheap materials and poor design. I am not the only one facing this—there are multiple complaints online about HP Victus hinge failures, which proves that this is a widespread issue.

HP cannot simply wash its hands off the issue just because the warranty has ended. This is your fault, and I expect a free repair or replacement immediately. If HP does not take responsibility for its defective product, I will have no choice but to escalate this matter publicly through consumer forums, complaints to regulatory authorities, and social media.

I demand an urgent resolution. This is a design flaw, and HP should stand by its customers instead of selling fragile laptops that break right after warranty expiry.

@Razil_19, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Hinge issues!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand how frustrating this situation must be for you. Hinges are a crucial part of any laptop, and we certainly expect them to last under normal usage conditions.

Regarding your concern, repairs or replacements for hardware issues, including hinge failures, are covered under the standard warranty period. Since your warranty has ended, free service would not typically be available. However, you still have the option to get your laptop repaired through HP’s authorized service centers as a paid service.

If you’re interested, I’d be happy to guide you through the process of getting an official repair. Let me know how you’d like to proceed.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
