14-dk0028wm

Hi - posting this on behalf of a family member.  She purchased a 14-DK0028WM Notebook for herself a week ago.  She's noticed that, whenever she tries to play a video (YouTube or Facebook - either via the Edge browser or the YouTube app) it just results in a black screen with a spinning arrow.  The video literally never plays.  She's not technically savvy - I recommended this laptop to her as it seemed to have the best specs for her budget and I'm helping her via email/text message but I cannot seem to find much to suggest what the fix could be?

It does seem that there are updated drivers available - but given she's in "Windows 10 S Mode" she's restricted from installing them since they're not in the Windows Store.  Any help here?  I think the concept behind "S Mode" is probably a good idea for someone like her as at least it only allows vetted apps to install... but I now can't help but wonder if a driver issue + S mode is the culprit?

@OmniGLH2

Somehow Windows 10 on your machines does not set media player properly  For ONLINE video, please download and install

It should automatically add-in to all browsers on your computer.

Regards.

Thanks I will have her give this a shot.  I'm not sure if it will work given the S Mode restrictions but my fingers are crossed.

If that fixes it I'll mark this thread "Resolved".
