Recently a black spot appeared on touch screen and now along with black lines are growing. I tried to rub and put it at one side with a pencil eraser but its not working.

It sounds like the screen seal might have been breached.
If that is the case, rubbing on the screen won't help and might even accelerate the damage.

Take the computer to a local technician / repair house and ask that the device be examined.

Warranty Check – Single or Multiple Devices
NOTE: If the single-system-check fails to find your device, use the "multiple devices" method to
check single or multiple devices.
- If necessary, Select your Country on the main website page or at the bottom (click Flag)
- Scroll down > To the right of Check multiple warranties, Click Continue
- Enter the Serial Number and Country for one or more devices / systems to be checked

Hi
Thanks, really appreciate your help.
I have to take the laptop to service center as there is no other option available. There is no way to contact someone from HP support for basic evaluation unless notebook is in warranty or have any of their paid support plan. Even their facebook page is managed by bots. After entering product details on website, option of opening case or any form of contact is not available.
My next purchase is definitely not going to be HP .
