HP 24 AIO
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

There are quite a few messages about this problem..  None have helped me..

Rather then dig thru the nuts and bolts of the issue, I opted to simply replace the motherboard..

Apparently, I should have paid more attention to the nuts and bolts.. Because the new motherboard gives me the exact same issue..

I have disconnected every possible device including the M2 SSD, the memory, the HD et al..  The ONLY thing I have not disconnected was the Display Panel..

And I still get the 3 Long,4 Short beeps 5 times, then the display comes on with the UNSUPPORTED ADAPTER message then it shuts down..

Is this an unfixable design flaw???

Any assistance would be most appreciated...

Further info on this...

I used the jumper to CLR the BIOS...  Also removed the BIOS battery for a minute or so..

Now I am getting a different error code..

First off, I lost audio, so now it's a BLINK code instead of a BEEP code..

When powered up, I get 2 long blinks and 2 short blinks.  According to HP, this means:

BIOS IN RECOVERY MODE BUT THERE IS NO RECOVERY IMAGE AVAILABLE

I then get 2 long blinks and 3 short blinks.  According to HP, this means:

THE EMBEDDED CONTROLLER REQUIRES USER INTERACTION BEFORE BOOT BLOCK RECOVERY

"Now, I don't know what all that means.. But it sounds pretty bad."

-Tom Cruise, A FEW GOOD MEN

Needless to say, I am still not getting anything on the display...

Not sure where to go from here..

Well, apparently, this was what I call a C.A.R.E. problem..

Cosmic Alignment of Random Events..  AKA stuff happens...

I went to put everything back together with the original motherboard in it..  Once I got everything back together, I powered it up just for sheets and greens...

It worked fine..

So, this one comes under the heading of WELL, IT'S FIXED.. DUNNO HOW BUT IT'S FIXED category....
